SD Gundam G Generation 3D takes advantage of the 3DS’s capabilities and lets the player experience solid 3D maps and combat screens with an original scenario based on Gundam. Mobile suits move in and out in impressive combat scenes. This version also marks the debut of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE! This is the first time Gundam AGE will appear in a home video game. Along with updates meant to smooth out the old systems, Spirit Commands and an option to select which version of a character is used deepen strategy. Along with the existing GGen systems ‘Chance Step’, ‘Tension’, and ‘Support’, ‘Spirit Commands’ are now available with which to prove your tactical expertise. Previously in GGen, characters appearing in multiple series would appear once for each series, but now, they appear as once character whose timeline can be selected. While each setting shares basic stats, Spirit Commands and character abilities change depending on setting. Menus now feature helpful icons and text on the lower screen. While looking at the map, the top screen displays the tactical layout while the bottom screen contains information on the selected unit.
