Kidō Senshi Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost is the first reversion to Kidō Senshi Gundam: Extreme Vs.. It contains enhancements to gameplay, modes, and new playable units. The most significant update is the alteration of Boost mode to have two different versions: Assault Burst and Blast Burst. Assault Burst increases damage and attack range, assisting close-range attacks, while Blast Burst increases defense and attack cancelling, assisting support roles. Arcade mode has the same map of levels leading to a confrontation with EX-, but all stages have been redesigned to accommodate the new units and new fights against giant Mobile Armors. Mission mode, now called FB Mission Mode, has been completely redesigned into a simple menu of stages with multiple difficulties. Each stage rewards either a collectible toy version of a MS/MA, a skill unlock, or bonus skill points. Using skill points will power up mobile suits for Mission Mode, up to a level cap of 100, or with no cap if the toy version of a suit has been collected.

The PS3 version of the game employs an online pass system where a pass, that comes with all new purchases of the game, is necessary to play any online mode. While logged onto online modes the PS3 version can earn GP that can be spent to rent some DLC units or purchase costumes for navigators or alternate HUDs. For the arcade version all games reward GP, and purchasing cosmetic extras is handled with the Extreme Versus Mobile phone app.
