The Fox Engine has been improved and equipped with an engine suitable for soccer games. As a result, facial expressions, sweat, reflections of light, and even dirt adhering to uniforms are all faithfully reproduced. The stadium presentation has also been enhanced with additional choreography alongside pyrotechnics. The physics engine uses Havok.

Starting from this installment, players can also choose 3rd and 4th uniforms. While in the 2013 edition all stadiums of the clubs in La Liga were included along with stadium editing, this feature is absent in this installment, and rain no longer falls in stadiums. Furthermore, in previous editions up to 2013, training was conducted in training grounds with players wearing training gear and bibs of two colors. However, starting from this installment, two teams must be selected, and training is done in game attire, even if it’s within the same team, players must wear the home, away (or now selectable, 3rd, 4th uniform) of that team during training.

The location is also not in training grounds but in the stadium set in the team settings (e.g., Japan National Team uses Saitama Stadium 2002), as mentioned earlier, the inability to set rain conditions also includes elements that are absolutely impossible in reality.
