Darius Gaiden is a horizontal shoot-em-up and the third game in the Darius series. The Sega Saturn version was released in 1995 in Japan, and 1996 in USA and Europe, and is generally considered to be the superior home console port, as it is nearly arcade-perfect, and does not suffer from the slowdown problems that the Playstation port has.
