The Super GT series, formerly known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship or JGTC (Zen Nihon GT Sensyuken), is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT Association (GT-A). While the JGTC was authorized by the Japan Automobile Federation and recognized by the FIA, Super GT is directly authorized by the FIA.

After years of successive rule changes, the JGTC planned to hold one more race outside of Japan, in China (Shanghai), in addition to Malaysia (Sepang). However, holding the series in more than three countries violates the definition of the “national championship” by the FIA. Therefore, the series needed direct authorization from the FIA and could not be named the Japanese Championship because it had to separate from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), the National Sporting Authority (ASN) of Japan.

In Zen Nihon GT Senahuken Max Rev, players can compete in different game modes like Battle, Championship, and Time Attack, and view their records. The game features 3D graphics and offers different camera angles from inside and outside the car, along with the official teams and drivers from the Nihon GT championship.Before each race, players can customize their cars by choosing the type of engine, gear, suspension, tires, brakes, and aerodynamics.

In CD 2, the game features the Max Rev Quick Review, which is a complete database of the machines, teams & drivers, campaign girls, circuits, and results.
