The previous features such as Pennant, Power Farm, Success Mode, and My Life Mode are also included in this game. In Power Farm, it is now possible to register players developed in the previous game “Power Pro 2011 (including the definitive version)”.

As new elements, both the PS3 and PS Vita versions feature the “Power Star” mode utilizing communication functions. In this mode, players can form teams using cards of characters that appeared in past Power Pro games (including the definitive version, Power Pro Kun Pocket series, and Okui from My Life Mode). They can then compete against service users nationwide in a free online card game with no payment elements (currently not playable due to service termination).

There have been significant changes made to the player parameter system, such as numerical representation of defensive power for each position, discontinuation of the special ability “Sub Position,” adoption of two types of pitches – straight as normal and full power, and change of the breaking ball “Circle Change” from a forkball type to a sinker type (used for both left and right sides). Although not as extensive as the previous game with significant changes in abilities other than trajectory and breaking balls, this game has relatively significant changes in the player parameter system.

Furthermore, starting from this game, original breaking ball effects have been implemented, making pitches like the Rising Series, Marine Ball, and Crescent Moon more spectacular, which has been continued in subsequent titles.
