The initial entry in a competitive robot action game series released by Takara between 2001 and 2004. Players customize their robots (Panzer Frame = PF) by combining parts to complete missions. Although the game system bears strong similarities to the Armored Core series, it stands out by introducing a wide array of characters, enlisting Kunio Okawara as the mecha designer, and incorporating bonus elements for specific robot configurations to set itself apart.

Planet J, Continent Fiatsa. The small nation of Alsalea Empire in the mountainous region was lacking in mineral resources, and its primary industry was dispatching mercenaries to external forces. To protect this valuable human resource, General Glenn, a national hero and the highest military leader, developed the mobile weapon Panzer Frame prioritizing the survival of soldiers. With PF, the Alsalea Empire also made progress as a technological nation. However, the Valim Republic, aiming for hegemony over the Fiatsa continent, sought to acquire PF development technology and declared war on the Alsalea Empire. Thus, the Alsalea Campaign began.

In the midst of the war, General Glenn organized his special forces unit, Glenn Squad, to confront Valim’s invasion. However, he was assassinated by a Valim infiltrator. Concerned about the impact of his death, General Glenn ordered Glenn Leader, the leader of the Glenn Squad, to become his doppelgänger and entrusted his two daughters to him before passing away. Upon receiving this order, Chief of Staff Golby followed General Glenn’s orders and appointed General Glenn’s second daughter, Fenna, as the operator of the Glenn Squad, serving as the only one who knew the secret and assisting Glenn Leader.

Thus, Glenn Leader, as both the ace pilot fighting on the front lines and the supreme commander of the military, faced Valim’s invasion in two distinct roles.
