The story takes place one year after the previous work “Memories Off” and is set in the new high school “Hamasaki Academy”. The main characters are high school students of the same age as the previous work, and their connections with the characters from the previous work are depicted in “Memories Off After Rain”.

The theme of the work is “transition of love”. Since there were no games that depicted “separation”, which is inevitable in love, the game focuses on that serious and painful aspect. The departure depicted in this work is more realistic, unlike the unique situation at the beginning of the game where the previous heroine Ayaka is already absent. The protagonist already has a girlfriend named Hotaru from the beginning, which is an unusual setting for a romance game and is reflected in the story as a choice of fate.

In terms of character design, the uniforms and hairstyles are more flashy compared to the previous work. However, to match the image of the story, the colors are subdued and toned down.
