Known as “General Knowledge Training” outside Japan. The first game in the General Knowledge Training series of Nintendo published games exclusive to Japan, succeeded by Minna no Joushiki Ryoku Televi. Although General Knowledge Training is the official name outside of Japan, the game also tests the player’s common sense, courtesy/social skills and critical thinking skills. This is because the word joushiki, translated in this case as “General Knowledge” has multiple meanings in Japanese. The game tests the player on a number of problems under a time limit, and the player can track their progress. Categories for the tests include Courtesy, Society, Intelligence, Traffic, Art and Music.
