Real Robot Sensen or Real Robot Battle Line is a turn-based tactical role-playing game developed by the japanese company Banpresto for the Sony PlayStation, released only in Japan on August 12, 1999. This game is very similar to Super Robot Taisen (especially to Super Robot Taisen Gaiden: Masou Kishin – The Lord Of Elemental) but it only includes “Real Robot” mecha series. It has 3D non-superdeformed mecha graphics and 3D battle maps.

The game controls are almost identical to Super Robot Taisen. The mecanics are also very similar to a SRT game, but there are some differences (for example, pilots gain experience by using Seishin/Spirits (Magic); the shield system is also a bit different). It has 3D maps that can be rotated (this is necessary in some maps where huge buildings and objects often obstruct the view), and a unit position system which changes hit and evasion rates depending on the position of the attacking and the defending unit (like in the SRTG Masou Kishin game). One of the best aspects of the game is the variety of routes that the player can choose durning the game, although this makes difficult to find some robots, like Ryusei’s R-1.
