Sangokushi Eiketsuden is a Tactical RPG video game published by Koei released on March 29, 1996 for the Sony PlayStation. The first installment of Koei’s short lived Eiketsuden series produced by Eiji Fukuzawa. The game proceeds by repeating story parts in castles and villages and battle parts in the battlefield. In the story part, talk with other characters, gather information, obtain items, collect human resources, etc., and in the battle part, manipulate the Liu Bei and his commanders to win the story. The story basically follows the contents of the novel “Sangokushi Engi”, but there are some branching points in the story progress in the middle, and the story does not necessarily follow the way of “Sangokushi Engi”.
