Some of the character’s move graphics from previous installments have been revised and changed. In the past games, when a character was knocked out, there would be an effect indicating their stun when they got up. However, starting from this game, an effect signaling the stun is shown as soon as they are knocked out. Additionally, bonus points for specific actions and combo counter displays during combos have been introduced. In the fourth round (final round), technical bonuses like combos are now added (regular points are not included). The character’s movement speed has returned to the level of “II” and “II’,” [previous installments].

The CPU opponents required to reach the ending remain at a total of 12, as before. Out of the original 8 selectable characters, there are generally no same character matches. However, in this game, same character matches occur only for the characters introduced in this game and the Four Heavenly Kings.

Regarding player characters, they are almost identical to the arcade version, but the background lacks the multiple scrolling feature. The BGM features Q sound reproduction, offering both the original and arranged versions. An RGB color edit mode is included in the options. A package with a dedicated pad was also released.
