The original story Uragatari Hakuouki is a new “what-if” take on the popular Bakumatsu dramatic adventure Hakuouki. This time, the story is told not from the perspective of the Shinsengumi, but from the side of the anti-shogunate faction. Set in the turbulent Bakumatsu era, the game follows a young girl, Kirishima Kozue, whose brother was killed by the Shinsengumi’s Rasetsu. Amidst the chaos of the times, a dramatic tale unfolds between her and the men who navigate this era of shifting ideals.
